What to do at the Château

Wine Living Circuit

An invitation to enjoy wine in direct dialogue with the landscape. The circuit offers a free, unhurried experience: a basket with water, a bottle of wine, glasses, and light snacks, along with a map indicating different stations beneath the walnut trees, by the stream, or along the vineyard’s edge. Each stop invites you to pause, open a bottle, and allow the surroundings to set the pace.

Harvest in the Garden

A simple, tangible experience: harvesting herbs, fruit, and vegetables alongside the Château team. An everyday gesture that reconnects with the origins of cooking, the rhythm of the seasons, and the true pace of the land.

Afternoon Tea

Infusions, breads, and small pastries served in the library, on the terraces, or in the garden, depending on the weather. A calm moment to close the afternoon, converse, and let the day settle without haste.

Horseback Riding

(Advance request required)

Gentle horses and easy routes suitable for all levels. A serene way to explore the Estancia along natural paths and open landscapes. The ride adapts to each guest’s pace, offering a direct connection with the territory and its scale.

4×4 Journey to Estancia Las Cuevas

An outing to the Bombal family’s other estate, named after the small caves shaped by water in the rocks of the snowmelt river. The route crosses potato fields, stretches of untouched land, and streams born from post-alluvial flows. After approximately one hour, the journey reaches the foothills of the frontal range to enjoy the river at its source.
Activity included with the stay.

Walk Through the Vineyards and Estancia Ancón

A walking tour through the high-altitude vineyards and the estate’s natural spaces. Gentle paths, viewpoints, and a close reading of native flora, rural architecture, and Ancón’s agricultural identity. A walk that connects territory, landscape, and productive work.
Activity included with the stay.

Carriage Ride (Break)

A carriage ride is an invitation to move through time differently. The carriage advances at the horses’ unhurried rhythm, and the landscape reveals itself without rush: the estate’s roads, the gardens, the light on the mountain.

The break—a historic carriage, restored and carefully maintained—revives the experience of the promenade as a social and contemplative gesture. The purpose is not to arrive, but to remain in transit: to observe, listen, and allow the surroundings to set the tempo.

Accompanied by a coachman, the route offers a distinct reading of the place. A daytime or sunset journey that connects history, landscape, and movement, transforming the ride into an intimate way of inhabiting Ancón.

Additional cost; not included in the rate.
