ECLECTIC STYLE WITH CALIFORNIAN AND FRENCH
NEO-COLONIAL REMINISCENCES
Château d’Ancón represents a landmark in local architecture. To this day, the so-called “castle” elicits admiration due to its exclusivity and unique location, placing it on the map of Argentina’s top estates for luxury tourism worldwide.
Dedicated hospitality at all times
The Château offers a combination of meticulous warmth and careful quality, with spacious surroundings and the most refined details. It’s a journey both in distance and time, capturing the essence of the “Belle Époque” in the midst of the 21st century.
Among our guests are high-ranking national and international officials, princes, prominent figures from the cultural and artistic spheres, as well as prestigious business leaders from around the world.
Adorned with exquisite furniture and unique pieces brought from Paris, London, and New York.
Château d’Ancon is the most significant estate house in Cuyo due to its location and stately style—a gem in the Argentine Andes.
All furniture, decorative pieces, Limoges china (a nod to the Bombal family’s origins), and Baccarat glassware were transported in large containers to the port of Buenos Aires and then by steam train to Mendoza, imparting the Château with its exquisite European aristocratic character.
It offers only four double rooms for visitors, each with a private bathroom, ensuring an atmosphere of intimacy and warmth.
The grand hall, a library, and a stately dining room between two marble-floored galleries, an English bar, and a music room are available to guests.
In the expansive living room, a Flemish tapestry complements the large stone fireplace that dominates the space.
The internal courtyard with its galleries and centuries-old wisteria, whose shade, fragrance, and color transport the soul beyond this time.
ENGLISH PUB AND LIBRARY
Library
The collection houses incredible and invaluable volumes in French, English, German, and Spanish, reminiscent of a student from Eton and Cambridge like Domingo Bombal and his tutor during the peak of English investments in our country and its imprint on local culture. It’s not surprising that Argentina’s affinity for polo, horse racing, tennis, golf, field hockey, rugby, and football has British roots. For us, it has always been a great pleasure to engage in lively discussions about literature by renowned authors. Most of the volumes are over a century old and encompass a variety of styles, providing a space for rest, learning, and disconnection in a room adorned with period decor, all while contemplating the perpetually beautiful and relaxing scenery of the mountains.
English Pub
Inspired by British tradition, a small space where the elegance and charm of the Château blend with a cozy atmosphere. It’s a place to share an aperitif and discuss the day’s experiences, mingling with other guests before dinner.
